l’physical edition of Bayonetta in front of Nintendo Switch used to be postponed. Nintendo has announced that the retail version of the first chapter of the series will be discontinued on September 30, 2022 and will be available in the first half of October. Below is the message Nintendo published on its official social channels announcing the postponement:

The release of the map version of Bayonetta, exclusively on the My Nintendo Store, is now scheduled for first half of October. Please wait for further information. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Therefore, there is no indication as to the new release date that we currently assume will be announced soon. In the meantime, we remind you that the retail version of the first chapter of the series will be sold for 29.99 euros.

Bayonetta debuted on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2010. Later, the game also came to Nintendo Switch, but only in digital format: Until now, the first Bayonetta could really only be obtained by purchasing it from the eShop or by redeeming a code included in the Bayonetta 2 pack.
