President Gustavo Petro allegedly posted images of the plight of some of the hospitals in Antioquia, but in reality they were referring to medical centers in the neighboring country of Venezuela. Minutes later, the president’s account deleted the trills.
Even so, former Health Minister Fernando Ruiz He criticized the President for the falseness of the images and the mistake made.
“President @petrogustavo, don’t let your advisors fool you. Antioquia hospitals are NOT. Where the @MinSaludCol reform wants to take us is the Vargas de Caracas hospital. We have excellent public hospitals in Antioquia, some lacking but never anything like this,” Ruiz said.

“This is the case of hospitals in excluded municipalities in Antioquia. But they want to convince us that we have the best system in the world. Let’s start by stopping deceiving people” can be read in the screenshots of the trills shared and deleted by the president.
