Today Apple introduced quarterly results corresponding to the last financial quarter. They correspond to the months from January to March inclusive and are presented as the results of the second quarter of 2023 technology.

This is usually not a period marked by a special bonanza, because it leaves behind the Christmas period and the landing of the new iPhone. So Apple’s Q2 2023 results don’t go over the top without a very noticeable fanfare. Dissonant note: the iPhone division that topped second-quarter revenue.

In fact, this was already the case last quarter, when Apple failed to break revenue records for the first time in two years. They indicated then that production levels were already where they wantedlooking forward to improvements in future quarters.

Apple’s Q2 2023 results: surprises, but honest ones

The technology company led by Tim Cook ended the quarter with a small revenue $94.8 billion. This represents a slight decrease from $97,300 the previous year. They are categorized by category as follows:

  • iPhone: $51.334 million
  • Poppy: $7.168 million
  • ipad: $6.670 million.
  • wearable devices: $8.757 million
  • Services: $20.907 million

“We are pleased to report a record service and quarterly record for March for iPhone, despite the challenging macro environment and our active device installed base reaching an all-time high,” Cook said.

Once again, and how it has been more or less stable since its launch, category "Services" once again sets a historical record. This is not surprising, since Apple has been paying special attention to this area lately. A great example of this is the numerous premieres and productions of Apple TV+.
