The richest heir to Russia, according to Forbes, was the son of Lukoil shareholder Vagit Alekperov, Yusuf Alekperov. His fortune is estimated at $20.5 billion. The total fortune of the list participants is $244 billion.
The second line after Alekperov was occupied by the son and daughter of the founder of EuroChem, Andrei Melnichenko. His fortune was estimated at $12.6 billion each. In third place are the sons of Leonid Mikhelson, co-owner of NOVATEK and SIBUR. His daughter Victoria and her brother own a total of $10.8 billion.
The list includes the daughter and both sons of the head of the Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Plant, Vladimir Lisin. Yuri, Dmitry and Anastasia with a fortune of $7.35 each ranked fourth on the list. In fifth position is the son of Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company shareholder Iskander Makhmudov. Jahangir Mahmudov’s net worth is $7.3 billion.
The Forbes list includes 49 people, representatives of 20 families of Russian billionaires.
Vagit Alekperov is one of the main contenders for the purchase of a stake in Yandex as part of the company’s restructuring.
