Dmitry Kuzyakin, CEO of the Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions, said that Russian experts have developed a method for detecting enemy FPV drone crews.
There is no effective electronic warfare method against FPV systems in the world anymore (Punch Point View, “first person view”). However, there’s also an “Achilles heel” – open source software and unlimited parts availability.
The researchers analyzed the experience of anti-sniper combat and, based on similar principles, created a methodology for combating enemy FPV drone operators. The new method allows FPV drones and Russian pilots to search for and neutralize enemy pilots.
Kuzyaev called for restriction of access to FPV technologies in Russia. The expert is confident that sooner or later the topic of FPV drones will have to be regulated, although their deployment is still hampered by the difficulty in learning how to assemble and pilot them.
