The FSB has uncovered a virus of the American intelligence service to infect iPhones in Russia, TASS was told in the press service of the department.
Owners of iPhones with both local and foreign SIM cards have been infected. At the same time, cases of detention of subscribers using SIM-cards, registered in the diplomatic mission and embassy in Russia, were identified.
The attack itself was carried out using a virus that was introduced into iPhones through software vulnerabilities left by Apple.
During the current security of the Russian telecommunications system, anomalies were discovered that are specific only to users of Apple mobile phones and, as a result, previously unknown software (VPO) that uses built-in shells of software vulnerabilities.
