Russian neural network to search for missing pets

A Russian developer of facial recognition systems has introduced a neural network that will search for missing pets using their photos. NtechLab representative Alexander Thomas told TASS about this. He noted that the project is planned to be implemented via a bot on Telegram, an app, or a website.

The system has a high accuracy of recognizing animals of some breeds, if photos of a pet in good quality with a close-up muzzle are uploaded to it, NtechLab emphasized. Thomas added that while the algorithms in finding black cats need to be improved, the AI considers these animals to be very similar to each other.

NtechLab does not yet have plans to connect city cameras to the project. At the moment, it is not known what type of data the neural network will search for the animals. The solution is not presented on the NtechLab website; it is not yet possible for a common user to test it.

Testing of the system is scheduled to begin in various regions of Russia.
