Apple kicked off WWDC 2023, an event held this Monday (5). MacBook Air, new ‘ultraportable’ laptop with bigger screen. Preserving the compact appearance of the line, this is the “thinnest 15-inch laptop” ever released by the company until now.
Without sacrificing portable proposition and with a weight of just over 1.5kg, model features a 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display. According to the brand, the panel can reproduce 1 billion colors and has a maximum brightness of more than 500 nits.
Despite the larger screen, the new MacBook Air only 11.5mm thickness. However, according to the brand, the model is almost 40% thinner than a compatible Windows laptop.
Just like its 13-inch sibling in 2022, MacBook Air 15 uses proprietary M2 chip. For comparison, the machine can be up to twice as fast as a laptop with an Intel Core i7 processor.
In the memory part, the model has Up to 24GB of combined memory (RAM) and up to 2TB of internal storage (SSD) options. In addition, the equipment has two USB-C ports (Thunderbold) compatible with external displays up to 6K resolution.

Pre-orders for the 15-inch MacBook Air start this Monday (5) in the US. There, the notebooks start at $1,299 (about R$6,389 in current direct conversion) and will ship to customers starting next week.
The starting value of the new laptop in Brazil is R$16,999.. With the most powerful memory and storage configuration, price can go up to BRL 26,999.
