VCs may be eligible for tax breaks

The government of the Russian Federation is preparing measures and developing a bill on the introduction of tax incentives for venture investors. Vedomosti writes about this with reference to a representative of the Ministry of Economic Development.

One of the measures being discussed is the introduction of a 1.5 multiplier to investments in venture funds, which will allow investors to reduce the tax base of income tax.

The government is also thinking of introducing an option system to motivate employees and remove unnecessary requirements that prevent the sale of assets. The Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers, Mikhail Mishustin, spoke about the latter earlier: he announced the government’s readiness to remove unnecessary restrictions that companies face when attracting private investment in the development of the IT industry.
