Avito Rabota analysts interviewed 10,000 Russians and found out which of the employees currently (73% of respondents) are willing to increase the working week to six days for an additional fee, and which will not agree to this under any circumstances.

64% of Russians are willing to work six days a week for a salary increase

The results of the study are given by Izvestia:

  • 64% of Russians are willing to work six days a week for a salary increase,
  • 29% of them will add one day to the work week for a 10-30% increase in pay,
  • 35% will accept it for a 30-50% raise,
  • 23% of workers will not switch to a six-day job “under any circumstances” (there are more women among them than men: 27% vs. 19%).
  • Already now, in the six-day modality, they work more frequently in the field of education and science (16%), construction and real estate (13%), agriculture (12%), art and entertainment (12%),
  • less frequently, in the areas of IT (3%), accounting and finance (3%), logistics services (3%), and housing and community services (2%).

Of those who participated in the survey, 47% of respondents work a full five-day work week (the majority are women), while the rest work more lenient hours.

“Raising wages, unsurprisingly, turned out to be the most popular reason for agreeing to a six-day period. Less than all the study participants were interested in motivation in the form of additional benefits (compensation for travel, food, etc.) – only 13% of them, ”added Avito Rabota.
