One in two retail job seekers would like to become an entrepreneur, according to the survey. Young people are more interested in starting their own business than others, but only a third of those surveyed express a readiness for action; most are not ready for the responsibility and risks.
46% of applicants in retail would like to try themselves as entrepreneurs, a survey by Avito Rabota and the Pyaterochka retail chain showed.
Young people are more interested in entrepreneurship than others (55%). However, only 27% of those surveyed expressed their willingness to open their own business. Most are afraid of responsibility and are not ready to take risks.
Work not completely independent, but under a franchise, was appreciated by 39% of the survey participants. Most of them are men (47%) from 25 to 34 years old. Only one in five respondents are confident that they can build a business on their own without the support of big business.
The study was conducted in April 2023 among more than 2,000 respondents.
