The head of the AvtoVAZ concern Maxim Sokolov shared with RIA Novosti the company’s export plans for 2023-2024. The automaker intends to deliver 10-15 thousand Lada models abroad this year and up to 50 thousand in 2024.

AvtoVAZ adjusted export plans for 2023: from 30,000 cars to 10-15,000

“We are just beginning to shake up our export programs. And they will largely depend on the readiness of our partners at the level of state regulation, ”the Sokolov news agency quotes.

According to the general director, AvtoVAZ assembly facilities in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are ready for launch, but without state technical regulation, it is impossible to reach the level of deliveries above 10,000.

Recall that at the beginning of the year, AvtoVAZ representatives announced plans to export 30,000 cars. The program was revised precisely because of the expectations of adoption of state technical regulation measures.

“If measures are taken, the figure may increase, and so far it is within 10,000, but we hope that if such decisions are taken in the near future, it may increase by 50%,” the head of the concern said.

He also said that in 2024 the company intends to export “about 50 thousand” Lada cars due to the maximum utilization of all production capacities.

Today, after the deal with Renault, the automaker has sites in Togliatti, Izhevsk and Saint Petersburg. Sales of Vesta, Largus, Granta and Niva in 2022 amounted to 188.6 thousand vehicles, almost half less than in 2021.
