Neuroscientist Dr Nerina Ramlahan told Express.co.uk about the drinks that those with anxiety problems should consume as little as possible. First of all, it’s coffee. This is because it contains caffeine in excess, which can cause anxiety.

With too much caffeine, a person’s blood pressure rises, his pulse and breathing speed up. Although people in general have different sensitivities to caffeine, the typical half-life of caffeine is about 5 hours. In other words, the effect of coffee can last for 5 hours.

Also, Dr. Ramlakhan recommends not drinking tea (including green) and soda. But tea also contains caffeine.
