Viewing requirements have also been lowered: 3 video uploads in three months, 3,000 hours watched instead of 4,000 in the last year, or 3 million instead of 10 million short film views in the last 90 days, TechCrunch writes.

So far, the new rules are in effect in the US, UK, Canada, Taiwan and South Korea. Subsequently, the new requirements will apply to other countries where the program operates.

  • The top 10 Russian video bloggers’ revenue from advertising on YouTube in 2022 fell by 12.4% and amounted to 1.1 billion rubles. The drop in revenue was affected by the disabling of monetization on YouTube and the withdrawal of foreign advertisers from the market.
