Russian Railways (RZD), Inter RAO and Rostelecom topped the list of the largest state-owned customer companies in terms of loyalty to small and medium-sized enterprises, according to the SME Corporation rating. Data was obtained based on procurement information for 2022.
In addition to Russian Railways, Inter RAO and Rostelecom, Gazprom (4th place), as well as Aeroflot, Alrosa and RusHydro were in the top 5; they shared fifth place with each other.
Avtodor and Avtodor-Toll Roads, Rostec, Transneft, USC and Rosseti also entered the top ten most loyal customers.
By the end of 2022, the volume of purchases from state-owned enterprises to small and medium-sized enterprises amounted to a record 7 trillion rubles, 2.6 trillion rubles more than in 2021. More than 12 thousand customers made purchases during this period. At the same time, the list of purchased goods more than doubled, to 1.1 million items.
As of 2022, the share of purchases from small and medium-sized businesses by the largest customers has increased to 25%.
