VK will develop IT solutions for the metallurgical business. The company signed an agreement with Norilsk Nickel on cooperation in the field of cloud computing and virtualization of IT infrastructure.
The agreement was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, reports TASS. The document supposes a joint work in the field of computing in the cloud, as well as in the creation of platforms, portals and multifunctional tools for the management of big data. Cooperation is also planned in the field of artificial intelligence, the VK press service noted.
In addition, the companies will jointly develop IoT technologies and create geoinformation services for the industry. According to Norilsk Nickel, digitization is very important for the company’s activities.
Earlier it became known that VK will build its own data centers in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Its launch is scheduled for 2025.
