Notebook sales in Russia fell by 20% in the first quarter of this year. Kommersant writes about this, citing data from Holodilnik.ru.

According to the retailer, 824 laptops were sold in early 2023, down 20% from the same period last year. In monetary terms, sales fell by 33% to 45.5 billion rubles.

Most sold brands that left Russia:

▪️ HP: -74%
▪️ Acer: -62%
▪️ Asus: -67%
▪️ Dell: -75%
▪️ Apple: -34%

Chinese manufacturers, on the contrary, increased their share in the Russian market:

▪️ Hyer: +23%
▪️ Thunder Robot: +100%
▪️ Chewie: +100%

The drop in sales was the result of a rush collection for equipment in the first half of 2022. In addition, Russians began to buy inexpensive laptops and PCs more often. [Коммерсантъ]
