In January-May 2023, sales of Russian software in the consumer segment were 2.5-6 times higher compared to the same period last year. The leaders in sales were the Red OS and Uncom OS operating systems, the P7 suite of office applications, as well as the Kaspersky and Dr.Web antiviruses. This is reported by Vedomosti with reference to the calculations of Wildberries, M.Video-Eldorado and Ozon.

Since the beginning of 2023, retail sales of Russian software have increased six-fold

The demand for domestic software (SW) is seen in the context of the exit of foreign providers from the market, the Ozon representative said. Wildberries said this year’s demand was mainly driven by antivirus and business automation products.

  • Since March 2022, Russian software prices have increased by 30-50%. Users attribute the trend to a lack of competition in the market, which Western providers have left behind. The developers partly recognized the price increase, but more moderate – by 10-15%.
