Azbuka Vkusa started producing food for Russian airlines

At the test stage of the project, the dishes became available to passengers departing from Sheremetyevo and Pulkovo airports on scheduled flights of Rossiya airlines lasting more than four hours, on all charter flights of Rossiya airlines and on flights of Smartavia, reported Vedomosti.

In the future, it is planned to expand the assortment with hot dishes, salads and desserts, and the possibility of launching co-branded products is also being considered. Azbuka Vkusa also plans to introduce groceries under its own brand on airline menus.

Mikhail Burmistrov, CEO of Infoline-analytics, believes that Azbuka Vkusa will have no problems in terms of product quality, since the company has one of the most technological complexes in Russia. The expert added that the main difficulty will be the low margin of this type of product compared to the network’s own retail chain. However, this will help ensure greater utilization of domestic production and improve the economy and distribution channels.
