A new drone model has been created in Russia, dubbed “Patriot K40TL” and associated with the public at SPIEF 2023.
According to representatives of the Astracom company, which is responsible for preparing software for the new drone, over the next week, the departments of the department are carrying out all the necessary tests of the Patriot K40TL UAV, although about ten test flights have already been made together with the developers and manufacturers of electronic warfare systems.
“Patriot K40TL” has an onboard thermal imager, as well as a camera and rangefinders. The drone rises to a height of about 2000 meters and operates within a radius of 20 kilometers from the operator.
The flight of the UAV is oriented according to the signals of the Russian navigation system GLONASS GPS, and also supports the European Galileo and Chinese Beidou, without jamming it is implemented for independent flight due to laser rangefinders that build maps independently of sensors terrain.
