Coca-Cola HBC will acquire Brown-Forman Finland for $220 million, owner of the Finlandia vodka brand, writes Reuters.
The company called the deal an attractive investment and a natural evolution “as one of Finland’s distribution partners.” They indicated that the purchase would serve as confirmation of the strength of the partnership with Brown-Forman. The deal is expected to close in the second half of the year.
According to Interfax, shares of Coca-Cola HBC fell 1.2% on Monday in London. Brown-Forman shares rose 0.8%.
In Russia, Coca-Cola HBC produced and sold such drinks as Fanta, Sprite, Schweppes and others. A year ago, the company announced the cessation of production of these products.
