Landmesser identified four key factors for avoiding a heart attack. According to him, blood pressure, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels and blood sugar levels should be monitored. He also stressed the importance of learning about his family’s medical history. The sooner you take preventive measures, the better.

Dr. Landmesser explained that people with chronic inflammatory conditions are particularly at risk for heart attacks. Such patients should be especially vigilant and monitor the above indicators.

Landmesser recommended that people over the age of 40 undergo regular comprehensive examinations to identify risk factors.
