This suggestion works: users on HomePod turn on music from an external service → the speaker sends a request to the iPhone → iOS 17 turns on music and transfers it to HomePod via AirPlay.

This feature requires iPhone and HomePod to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

In theory, therefore, you can listen to music from any services on the HomePod. To do this, developers must add the SiriKit API, which allows you to control the application using Siri.
