In the video, CBS reporter David Pogue went on an OceanGate expedition and interviewed the company’s CEO, Stockton Rush, who is one of five people missing on the ship. In the clips, Pogue appears to be dismayed by how low-tech Rush’s submersible is, especially when he learns that a video game controller was used to control it. And, as Pogue noted, before embarking on a journey, he had to sign a document stating that “the experimental submarine … has not been approved or certified by any regulatory body and may lead to bodily injury, disability, emotional trauma” . or death.”

OceanGate’s titanic expeditions are not for the faint of heart or casual tourists. According to the report, each passenger paid $250,000 for a seat in the vehicle. In addition to Rush, other passengers on the submersible include billionaire Hamish Harding, French diver Paul-Henri Nargolet, a Pakistani businessman named Shahzada Dawood, and his 19-year-old son Suleiman Dawood. The only good news for now is that the vehicle reportedly has up to four days of air. However, rescuers have only two days left to find the submarine.

According to Deadline, the US Coast Guard and Canada are leading efforts to find the missing submarine. But so far there is no further information about his status.
