Domino’s Pizza allows you to secure delivery to almost any location

Domino’s now allows you to order pizza by coordinate GPS instead of an address.

This means that if you’re out and about and suddenly feel a strong craving for pizza, there’s another way to get it quickly.

In an update to its app, Domino’s has added a feature that lets hungry customers simply put a pin on a map to mark their location, and the popular pizza chain promises to deliver “almost anywhere, including places like parks, ball stadiums, and beaches.” just in time for the start of summer.

The new Domino Pinpoint Delivery feature also allows customers to track their order with an in-app Domino tracker by viewing their driver’s GPS location. It also offers an estimated arrival time and sends a text alert when it’s nearby. Then you need to meet the driver at the delivery point, confirm his identity and pick up the pizza.

“Domino’s is proud to be the first fast food restaurant brand in the United States to deliver food to customers with a pin,” said Christopher Thomas-Moore, Domino’s senior vice president and chief digital officer. “We’re always looking to make the customer experience even better and more convenient, and Domino’s Pinpoint Delivery does just that.”

The pizza company is not averse to using technology to improve its ability to get its cheese treat into the mouths of drooling customers, although some of its efforts have been short-lived and more like marketing gimmicks.

Domino’s, for example, has experimented with pizza delivery using self-driving cars and small wheeled robots. In 2015, it reduced the ordering process to seconds by allowing customers to send a single pizza emoji, and in 2019, it allowed you to order from the comfort of your car using a simple ordering option on your car’s touchscreen.
