Elena Tikhomirova, dietitian at SM-Clinic, said that in the heat, a person should drink at least one liter per 30 kilograms of weight.

In heat, sweating increases and as a result, there is a loss of fluid that needs to be replenished. The therapist recommends that the best way to quench your thirst is plain or mineral water, water with lemon, and herbal teas.

However, the nutritionist states that green and black cannot compensate for water loss. But you can drink them as usual. It is strictly forbidden to drink sweet carbonated drinks and any juices in the heat, Tikhomirova warns. The doctor emphasized that they contain a large amount of sugar, which can aggravate the situation at high temperatures outside the window.

At the same time, there is no universal drinking regimen – it is individual for everyone and depends on a number of factors. The specialist said that in the presence of any disease, it is best to discuss the optimal fluid intake with a doctor.
