The Ozon Market press service said the company “had to temporarily limit the ability to place orders for buyers and ship products for sellers due to the current situation” in the southern regions of the country.

Ozon was forced to suspend the possibility of placing orders in the southern regions

The platform’s counterparties in the regions affected by the problem have already been specifically informed. Messages were also sent to customers.

“Ozon apologizes to customers for any inconvenience. We are trying to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the service, taking into account the current restrictions and the priority of the safety of our employees, partners and customers, ”the company representatives write.

The operation of the service can be significantly affected by “road closures in some locations”, so there may be delays in the delivery of previously ordered merchandise. The company intends to extend the shelf life of orders to mitigate the consequences of failed supply chains.

The market management expects a strong reaction from customers to the alleged delivery delays and other inconveniences, so it assures sellers in advance that “the qualifications of entrepreneurs who are now unable to ship goods will not be affected”:

“If the issuing point agent cannot open the point for visitors, we also inform customers about this, and of course there will be no penalty for the partner.”
