Air flights are becoming more expensive, there are no tickets for direct flights from Moscow to Istanbul and Tbilisi – media

According to the Baza channel, which provides screenshots from the Aviasales.ru website, on the morning of June 24, flight prices skyrocketed. E.g:

• Prices for direct flights to Yerevan started from 36 thousand rubles and reached 150 thousand rubles, although such tickets usually cost about 10 thousand rubles,
• In Almaty – 33-48 thousand rubles against the usual 8-10 thousand rubles.
• Prices for a direct flight to Istanbul reached 35 thousand rubles, while yesterday’s cost was 8 thousand rubles,

At the same time, as the correspondents assure, direct tickets from Moscow to Istanbul are no longer on the website. Direct flights to Astana and Tbilisi were also sold out.

Those remaining tickets continue to rise in price. At the moment, a direct flight to Yerevan can cost customers 198 thousand rubles.

This situation causes a wave of demand, which, in turn, a wave of fraud. Aviasales representatives recalled this and urged to use only official company resources:

“We do not accept payments by transfers, to personal cards and through “secret links” from “our managers”; none of our employees have the secret authority to find you a ticket that no one else can see.”

After media reports, the Association of Russian Tour Operators (ATOR) denied the information that there were no direct tickets to Istanbul, but they did not deny the increase in prices and demand from various destinations. And yet, the organization assures that “an acute shortage of places has not yet been observed.”
