One in three Russians prefers cash to keep their savings. This was announced by the Bank of Russia based on the results of a sociological study in which more than 2.5 thousand respondents participated.
27% of survey participants use cash to pay for goods and services. One in four people do so “out of habit,” with roughly the same number of respondents indicating they are more willing to accept cash in stores. 11% of respondents are confident that cash is more secure against risk.
79% of those surveyed prefer to pay for purchases by bank transfer. Most indicated that a plastic card is easier to carry and allows you to make payment transactions remotely.
The Bank of Russia conducted a study among 2,500 Russians over the age of 18.
