Yandex and Lanit seek buyers for their shares in the OpenYard joint venture

Yandex and Lanit decided to leave the joint venture (JV) for the production of OpenYard servers and are looking for buyers for their shares. This was reported by Forbes.

The reasons for the exit of the companies from the joint venture are the desire of “Yandex” to concentrate on its core business and changes in the market situation.

Companies look for buyers of shares among strategic investors, computer manufacturers and other market participants.

OpenYard was established in 2021 by Yandex, Lanit, VTB, and Taiwanese computer equipment manufacturer Gigabyte. In 2023, OpenYard completed the construction of a plant in Zelenograd.
