The 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 chip is now sold without a power adapter in Europe and the UK.
In the box with the laptop there is only a USB-C to MagSafe 3 cable.
Buyers have to purchase a power supply separately. When ordering a laptop from the Apple Store, you can choose a 70 W charger for 65 euros (about 6 thousand rubles) or a 96 W charger for 85 euros. (about 7800 rubles).
The company did not comment on these changes. Probably, the refusal of the power supply is related to the regulation of electronic waste in the European Union.
In other countries, the power adapter remained in the box, and this did not affect the price.
