Russian authorities acknowledge that in the future, drones may transport people, based on the government-approved Strategy for the Development of Unmanned Aviation of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030 and the future until 2035.

The document, published June 28, identified eight main areas of application for drones: remote monitoring, reconnaissance and protection of objects, fertilization, air logistics, communications, sports activities, installations and outdoor work – construction, firefighting and washing.

The strategy allows the “Moving people” aspect to emerge. However, it is considered premature to clarify the task and indicators – the authors of the document note that the timing of the introduction of these technologies in Russia cannot yet be predicted.
