One of the first possible signs of melanoma is an increase in mole size. Especially if the mole is enlarged. Generally, melanomas are larger than 6 mm.
Notice the change in I color. Melanomas can be a mix of different colors: brown with black, red, pink, white or blue. In people with red hair and fair skin, melanoma may only be pink or red.
Another change to be aware of is the change in the shape of the moles. Melanoma, unlike ordinary moles, tends to be irregular in shape, with jagged edges.
