The app has long supported the creation and use of routines on phones, allowing users to run them remotely via the Assistant or on other devices such as the Nest Hub or Nest Mini speakers. But this useful feature has mysteriously disappeared.
This is not the first time such a problem has occurred. There was a similar issue in 2020 but later fixed with an update. It remains unclear whether this feature will return or whether Google has decided to remove it altogether.
For now, users will have to wait and see if Google fixes this bug and restores the functionality that many rely on for smart home operation.
