This is the first domestic device of this kind, which will go to the natural satellite of the Earth. The “Luna-25” mission aims to explore the area of the moon’s south pole and land near the Boguslavsky crater.
Borisov emphasized that such missions are always associated with certain risks and therefore careful preparation and simulation are required.
The launch was originally scheduled for July, but was delayed to August to ensure the credibility and successful implementation of the project.
According to Borisov, judging by world statistics, the success of the local mission is 70%.
Note that Luna-25 is a major event in the Russian space program. It concerns both the local and world scientific community.
