In 2022, the cost of developing AI software and IT systems in Russia increased by 10-40%. By the end of 2023, you can increase your price by another 50%. The developers reported this to Kommersant.
Among the reasons for the growth in cost are EU and US sanctions, rising cost of computer equipment, staff shortages, and the need to increase the salaries of specialized specialists.
For the development of the domestic AI market, the industry needs state support, its participants believe, otherwise they will not be able to compete with players from China.
- In January-May 2023, sales of Russian software in the consumer segment were 2.5-6 times higher compared to the same period last year. The leaders in sales were the Red OS and Uncom OS operating systems, the P7 suite of office applications, as well as the Kaspersky and Dr.Web antiviruses.
