Now electric scooters are fined for traffic violations, mainly under article 12.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, but the maximum fine for it is 1.5 rubles. With this wording, it is vague, which allows the owners of electric scooters to defend the fine.
The agency wants to verify the owners of SIM-cards, as full-fledged road users, on a par with drivers and pedestrians. Experts believe that for violating the traffic rules of electric scooters, a fine of 5 to 30 thousand rubles is imposed.
