Announced by Meta on Monday (3), Threads is a new social network that should compete with Twitter.. The app is already available on the App Store, and one factor stood out: amount of mobile data that can be collected by the service.
The discussion was started by Twitter creator Jack Dorsey, who made an ironic post. He posted “All Subjects belong to us” along with the screenshot. Logging indicates that the app captures user-related information from Health & Fitness, Shopping, Financial Information, Location, Contacts, Contact Information, Search History, User Content, and more.
The new software even collects Confidential Information and other unspecified data. Check out the picture below.

In the conversation Dorsey started, Twitter owner Elon Musk appeared to agree that the amount of data Threads needs is highly controversial. However, internet users pointed out that other social networks also collect personal information from the user.
And other apps?
at a check by Technology World, you can see that Bluesky is one of the apps that collects less information from users. Regarding person-related data, Jack Dorsey’s app captures contact information, user content, and identifiers.
Musk’s own Twitter also captures a lot, including Purchases, Contacts, Browsing History, Search History, Usage Information, and more. Instagram also has an extensive list of Location, Confidential Information, Diagnostics, Financial Information and more.
