The St. Petersburg Arbitration Court approved a settlement agreement between the founders of the Gigant service, Denis Reshanov and Mikhail Valkovsky, and a group of investors. This was reported by Forbes. Valkovsky and Reshanov must transfer 30 million rubles in compensation to Gigant’s account.
In February, Gigant’s investors, including Avito, X5 supervisory board chairman Petr Demchenkov and Hoff co-founder Mikhail Kuchment, filed a 168 million ruble lawsuit against the company’s founders for taking it to verge of bankruptcy. The shareholders accused the businessmen of unreasonable spending and withdrawal of funds from the business.
Valkovsky and Reshanov founded Gigant in 2019. The company raised its first investments in 2020. At the moment, according to data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, 54.6% of the company belongs to its founders, 33.8% to Avito, 6.45% to Mikhail Kuchment, 3.41% to Petr Demchenkov, 1.7% to Startup Lab.
