Roskomnadzor reported the removal or blocking of more than 130 thousand Internet pages with prohibited information in the second quarter. Most of these pages are related to bets and fakes about a special operation in Ukraine.

Roskomnadzor restricted access to 130.5 thousand Internet pages with prohibited information in the second quarter of 2023. This was reported by the department’s press service.

In Q2, 5% more pages were removed or blocked than in Q1. Across all categories, only drug pornography content and resources related to illegal drug sales showed a decrease in the number of blocks (10% less).

The number of blocks in other categories has increased. Resources related to gambling were blocked by 8% more (27 thousand materials), fakes about a special operation in Ukraine – by 15% (26.2 thousand), the participation of minors in illegal actions – in 29% (8.4 thousand materials).

Resources related to the illegal sale of alcohol showed the largest increase in the number of blockades: Roskomnadzor restricted access to 2,000 materials, 33% more than in the first quarter.
