Transcend Introduces AI Generative SSDs

Taiwanese PC component maker Transcend has introduced new SSDs designed specifically for generative AI systems.

The new drives are designed to handle large amounts of data, perform high-performance tasks, and resource-intensive applications.

UTE210T series devices are equipped with U.2 interface, two temperature operation modes (-20 to +75°C, -40 to +85°C) and data loss protection system in cases of emergency power loss.

The read speed of the new SSD is 7200 MB/s, the write speed is 6500 MB/s.

Transcend has not yet announced a release date for the new SSDs or the price at which they will be sold.
