It has been reported that Samsung originally planned mass production of the device in early 2024, but now the deadline has been shifted by a few months. Details about the company’s headset have yet to be revealed, but it is assumed that the Koreans decided to develop their brainchild on the backdrop of Apple’s announcement.
Therefore, fans of augmented and virtual reality technologies can expect the release of the improved Samsung XR headset in the middle or end of 2024, when the company will be ready to present its updated solution.
Note that Oculus, on the contrary, announced the Quest 3 helmet a few days before WWDC 2023, when the Apple Vision Pro was presented, deciding to get ahead of its rival.
