Alexander Khachiyan, head of AWG IT integrator and co-founder of SkillStaff, an IT leasing company, said that IT professionals are actively returning to Russia because their average salaries at local companies are higher than at international companies abroad.

The biggest advantage of salaries in Russia, according to the expert, is the amount left after taxes are deducted. Khachiyan underlines that even in European countries they can only offer comparable local salaries – but with a cost of living even higher than in Moscow, excluding taxes.

As a result, the salary of relocated IT professionals is significantly lower and the cost of housing and living is higher, the entrepreneur summarized. According to him, only a few specialists with connections and connections in international companies resigned and got jobs abroad. Khachiyan emphasizes that no one is progressing with higher income levels.

The expert says that on average, the salary of IT engineers in Russia is 200 thousand rubles per month. According to Khachiyan, this figure can be up to 700 thousand rubles for “master league” specialists and managers – but taking into account annual bonuses.
