Users will be able to update with security patches for Firefox until September 2024 without further action.

However, Mozilla encourages users to upgrade to a Microsoft-supported version of Windows. With this transition, users will be able to save their settings and data, including bookmarks, browsing history and saved passwords, using their Firefox account.

This ensures that all of its data is available when Firefox is installed on a new device.

At the same time, other popular browsers like Chrome stopped supporting older versions of Windows in early 2023.
