The Ministry of Digital Development is discussing the possibility of using the MasterChain blockchain platform in the public administration system, said Maksut Shadayev, head of the department.
“We are only with the association, which is being presented by the Central Bank, we are looking for its “Masterchain”, a technology of this type to be used in public administration. In order not to create anew, we just take it and try to understand its application possibilities, ”said Shadayev, his words are quoted by the TASS agency.
Masterchain is the first Russian blockchain platform developed by the FinTech Association together with the Bank of Russia and financial market participants. The platform uses domestic means of cryptographic protection.
In June, the Rostec RT-Tekhpriemka structure presented the CELLS industrial blockchain platform. The state corporation has admitted it could replace SWIFT, from which Russian banks were cut off this year.
