The Tagansky District Peace Court found Discord Inc. guilty of refusing to remove prohibited information and fined it 6 million rubles, Vedomosti reports.

Discord in Russia fined for pornography

From the materials read in court, it follows that Roskomnadzor drew up a protocol on Discord due to the failure to remove 11 porn videos with minors. The video features “vulgar photos” as well as a video of a girl with a dog.

Lawyer Ilya Khodokov, who represents the interests of the company, explained that Discord constantly removes such content. “Technically, not everything can be moderated right away,” he explained.

At the moment, all the porn videos identified by the Russian authorities have been removed.

Earlier, a Moscow court fined the American service Twitch two times for failing to remove content banned in Russia. The first fine is in the amount of 4 million rubles, the second – in the amount of 3 million rubles.
