I bought a (not) original Apple silicone case for 800 rubles. Wasted money

I ordered cases for my iPhone 13 Pro Max from AliExpress and it was a real lottery. In the pictures and photographs, all screen cases are excellent, but in reality you can get a piece of badly molded cheap plastic, which is embarrassing on a smartphone.

I bought the highest quality and most comfortable to the touch case from the nearest store with hunting accessories.

Among the abundance of frank “Chinese” familiar plastic baths with silicone covers inside caught my eye. The seller, without batting an eyelid, said that this is the highest quality copy of the original covers and it costs 800 rubles. Of course, I immediately bought it.

So, now we are seeing how this fake is similar to real Apple products. Perhaps the Chinese have learned to make high-quality accessories?

Packaging, fonts, design

At first glance, the packaging is very similar to the original from Apple, but it is worth considering it a little more carefully, as a frankly Chinese font on plastic catches the eye.

If you turn over and read the cardboard “back”, you can even see the proud “Created by Apple”.

Wait, where’s the tab you need to pull to open the box?

And here it is, right on the cardboard.

Probably, unexpectedly, a 100% reproduction of the packaging was expected.

Let’s take a look at the case itself.

100% replica? Umm… NO

Opening, we see the visibility of a part of the cover with a velvety lining. Looks good, but only until you feel his observations.

If in the original covers natural soft microfiber is glued inside, then here it is a kind of rough material, similar to a fake velvet.

But there are embossed letters, just like on the original.

Chinese craftsmen even glued the side walls of the colon with pseudo-velvet. Thank you for taking care of the metal polished frame.

And now the most important thing: we take out the cover from the package, and that’s it. At first glance, it becomes clear that THIS IS CHINA.

Traces of the mold in which this accessory was cast are clearly visible on the plastic. All ports are cut out crookedly, and there is no MagSafe in sight.

It’s just a piece of soft rubber, quite soft, but very far from the tight original Apple silicone case.

This accessory is held on the smartphone, all buttons are pressed quite easily. Possibly similar to German time.

But I do not advise anyone to buy this for 800 rubles. If you really want something similar to an original Apple accessory, order the exact same case on AliExpress. There it costs only 299 rubles, there are a bunch of colors to choose from.

And for 1200 rubles you can take a silicone copy of the original case, but with a discovered MagSafe magnet.
