Ozon has released an algorithm that will help sellers predict the demand for certain products in different regions of Russia. The new tool is available to sellers operating under the Ozon Share Sale (FBO) scheme. With it, the seller will be able to understand how many goods to send to a particular warehouse.

Ozon’s new algorithm predicts the demand for goods in Russian regions for sellers

The Ozon marketplace has released an algorithm that will help sellers on the site to predict the demand for individual products. The forecast report is called “Demand for Goods” and is available in the seller’s personal account, Ozon said.

The report can be obtained for any product that has been sold at least once in the last six months. The algorithm predicts the demand for ten weeks.

When calculating forecasted sales, the machine learning model-based algorithm uses data on seasonality, product price, customer demand, stock balances, and planned deliveries. Projected sales within sales or holidays are calculated separately.

On Wednesday, July 12, Ozon launched the Premium Plus subscription for sellers, which allows you to upload products in search and categories, and also gives you the opportunity to see the turnover and sales dynamics of the closest competitor for any period of time. .
