Armed conflicts of modern times are becoming more and more “robotic”. The robotics of the Estonian Military Academy together with colleagues from other countries – Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the UK have just completed a two-day series of tests of unmanned vehicles on two vehicles (UGV).
It took quite a bit of time for the robotic platform to be replaced remotely or for autonomous combat robots to come, capable of taking on the task of modern boy walking without human intervention. In time, they will be sent to war zones, where they will, by the first, overtake the hard, routine work of delivering social events and food.
Test participants tested future robots in off-road conditions, in wooded areas, for allowing them to navigate independently, lay routes, perform various maneuvers, bypass workplaces, and also interact with an ordinary team.
