Since January 2023, Russian freelancers have earned a total of 5.3 billion rubles. This is 53% more than in the first half of last year, Vedomosti writes, citing services data for Solar Staff outsourcing transactions.
The average monthly income of freelancers who withdraw money to Russian cards is about 100 thousand rubles per month, to foreigners – 319 thousand rubles.
Experts explain the proportion by the fact that the bulk of freelancers work with companies in Russia. They believe that only 10% of remote and project employees live and work abroad.
Most programmers and managers withdraw money to foreign cards, bloggers and consultants withdraw money to Russian cards, the company said.
- In the spring of 2023, a service for working with freelancers Pay Assistant was launched in Russia. It helps manage payments and workflow and works with most payment systems including VISA, Mastercard, Qiwi. According to its own data, the cash turnover of the service for 2022 amounted to 50 million dollars.
